Araluen Botanical Park

The art of botany

We went to this place called Araluen Botanical Park. Genuinely a really beautiful place, it was a very sunny day, the sky was clear, the flowers were blooming.

The park was filled with a variety of plants and flowers, each one was so incredibly vibrant that you just couldn’t quite capture on Camera.

One thing I noticed in hindsight is that my camera I was using for these pictures seems to give a bit of a dreamy blur that I feel actually compliments the images quite well. I believe some photographic purists may have issues with it, and I am not well-versed enough in photography to know what causes this, but in my shallow opinion I think it looks good, and that’s all that matters to me.

A bit later on in the day, we decided to get ourselves some lunch, there was this restaurant / cafe type place that was well-rated. We took a seat and got ourselves comfortable, given the Menu there weren’t many options, but we both were able to find something we liked. The view from our seating

We got our food, and though it was pricey, it tasted quite well. Unfortunately though the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price. I had chosen the Brisket, and eyeballing the portion size it was about 80 grams, and for the $78 price tag, it was quite expensive. Though, granted, it was probably the best brisket I have had so far.

We also had some drinks, we had both chosen the home-made lemonade, this was quite cheap, but unfortunately quite bitter too.

If I would rate the day overall, it was lovely. Despite our misadventures with food, the views and the flowers more than made up for it.
